We are a world leader in the breeding and production of vegetative plants formed in 1990 by parent Ball Horticultural Company to produce geraniums, kalanchoes, New Guinea impatiens and poinsettias. In 1991, Ball FloraPlant opened the first fully dedicated vegetative breeding location for bedding and specialty annuals in the US, located in Arroyo Grande, California. Full-scale commercial production continued to expand at the Ball corporation's Linda Vista farm in Costa Rica and in Mexico. New varieties were soon introduced from the Ball companies' own breeding programs, including Celebration New Guinea impatiens, Showcase and Designer geraniums, and Fiesta double impatiens.
